Ah yes, today is my first attempt at fulfilling a most asked request, start a blog. So here I sit at 9:30 on a Wednesday evening trying to figure out if I'm now in the same boat when it comes to technology as my 70-something-year-old Grandma. It's not that I can't figure it out, the question is more, do I wish to spend what little bit of brain power I have left from the day to figure this out? I now have a headache and a glass of wine in hand after an hour of what a website said would "only take minutes to set up".
I give much props to single working Mothers. I don't know how they manage to survive, sanity intact, doing it all day in and day out? As you know, my Husband Keith works for days at a time away from home as a firefighter, correction, Engineer. Trying to get all that needs to be done for the house, the kids, the pets, etc, snapping back and forth between a one and two man crew isn't exactly a cake walk. And this is me I'm referring to, not him. This morning, thanks only to Keith's brightly colored chicken scratched note on the fridge, did I remember to give two of our three kids their medicine. Now, did I remember to pick up the third child's antibiotic on the way home from a hectic day, nope. Did I remember to praise the heck out of Kloe for getting the highest color on the behavior chart? You bet cha.
So I will now do my best to share the stories of my days as a Fire Wife, Mother of identical twin three year old boys, and a beautiful, drama filled, soon to be seven year old Daughter. Add in a parakeet, one fish, two cats, and four dogs. Yep, this is my life, lol.
Today's Family Gem:
I had one kid finally out of the shower, now trying to get two in. I was bent over a tub adjusting bath tub knobs with two naked boys giggling behind me when Kloe yells "The jewelry lady is at the door". Last month I hosted a jewelry party and have been patiently awaiting everyones jewelry to come in. Just not right now, at that moment, not tonight. Thanks for the heads up, jewelry lady. As she rambles on about how she forgot part of my order from my party, my rebellious senior citizen Jack Russell bolts out the door, followed by two naked, screaming 3 year olds. Now if you were a pizza delivery man, a UPS man, even a random Jehovah's Witness - you would be used to seeing my free spirited boys in their Birthday suits. But tonight all the neighbors and a few poor unsuspecting passer byers were exposed to winkie/buns galore. Did I mention that I got to meet our neighbors down the way while chasing down said dog & nudists with no bra or shoes??
